Vancouver, BC - It was bound to be a good night at Fortune Sound Club with DJs Yung Taco and Lunice taking the stage. Having just come from Tyler the Creator and Vince Staple’s energetic show, Odd Future’s Yung Taco provided a range of songs to fit anyone’s vibe. One minute the crowd was swaying to Sean Paul’s “Like Glue” and the next they’d be hyped up with A$AP Mob’s “Telephone Calls”. His stage presence was inviting as he sang and danced along.
Around 1:00am Montreal based DJ Lunice took the stage. With a completely different tone, Gospel melodies rang out in Fortune as he walked around the stage holding incense which hung to the side during his show. As he performed there was no doubt at Lunice’s talent in providing unique sounds to our favourite music. His movement echoed his music and the crowd mimicked his energy.
Yung Taco and Lunice’s completely different styles gave the audience the best of both worlds for another great night at Fortune Sound Club.
